Jo's Candies is a leading manufacturer of gourmet chocolates and candies in the United States. Among their most noted creations is the chocolate covered graham cracker, Coco Jo's cookies and various English toffee items.
This client approached us to create a series of styled product photos for each of the Jo's Candies gourmet cookies and candies to appear in their new website. For each item, these photos included both packaging, full-product shots and extensive close-up shots to convey a sense of each product to the viewer.
The close-up shots for the Jo's Candies shoot were challenging because of the low melting point of the high-quality chocolates used in these products. This was solved through the construction of a specially constructed climate controlled studio and the use of low heat output studio lighting equipment.
