In his photography work, Rick strives to capture the essence, feeling and beauty or uniqueness the subject. In product photography, his assignments have been as diverse as photographing chocolates, cookies, CD covers and even plastic furniture. He is also well known for his patience and care in positioning, styling and lighting each item or product, and in finding the best angle to convey the subject to the viewer. In the end, the shots he feels are most successful are those that give the viewer a felt sense of the product as if they were actually there in person.

As a commercial portrait / executive portrait photographer, Rick is a master at putting his subjects at ease. He takes great care to understand and observe his clients in order to determine the ideal setting for their session which will best convey a natural image of them, and one they would like to project.
